WHAT IS NCIS?
This criminal investigation series chronicles the operations of an elite team of special agents whose mission is to investigate any crime that has a shred of evidence connected to
Navy and
Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position.
The NCIS team of investigators is led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), an experienced investigator with sometimes unorthodox, but always effective methods. Working under Gibbs are Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly), a former homicide detective who joined NCIS just a few years ago, but whose solid instincts result from his work on the streets , and Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) whose communication and computer skills outweigh his naiveté.
Rounding out the team is forensics specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a gifted scientist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), NCIS's medical examiner whose incredible wealth of knowledge complements the entire team.
From murder and espionage, to terrorism and kidnapping, this unique and close-knit team of agents travels the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy and Marine Corps ties.
