Actor Bio

Jessy Schram plays Dr. Hannah Asher on the NBC drama "Chicago Med."

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Schram moved to Los Angeles at 18 years old to pursue a career as an actor. Her TV credits include "Falling Skies," "Last Resort," "Nashville," "Mad Men," "Once Upon a Time," "Veronica Mars" and "Medium."

Schram is also a familiar face to Hallmark Channel viewers from her many starring roles. Her films for the network include "A Royal New Year's Eve," "The Birthday Wish," "Harvest Moon," "A Smile as Big as the Moon," "Road to Christmas," "Mystic Christmas," "Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas," "Country at Heart" and "A Nashville Christmas Carol."

On the film side, Schram's credits include Tony Scott's "Unstoppable"; "Shot Caller," opposite Lake Bell and Jon Bernthal; "The Submarine Kid," working alongside Finn Wittrock and Emilie de Ravin; and the ensemble comedy "I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With," with Jeff Garlin, Sarah Silverman and Amy Sedaris.

In addition to acting, Schram pursues music as a singer/songwriting solo artist. With a mix of folk and pop, her music leans towards thoughtful lyrics and an acoustic delivery, and she has performed at places such as the Knitting Factory, Molly Malone's, Hard Rock Cafe, Tweeter Center, Soldier Field, Navy Pier and Hancock Music Center. Her music is available on all major music streaming sites.

Schram is actively involved with a variety of charities, including Corazón de Vida in Baja, Mexico, where she visits orphaned children. When time allows, she enjoys spending time with Red Eye through their Watts Youth Mentoring program and supports organizations including Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue.
