Paul Reubens is an Emmy-nominated actor, writer and comedian best known for creating the character Pee-Wee Herman. The Pee-Wee Herman Show was first staged at West Hollywood's The Roxy Theatre before airing as an HBO special in 1981. Four years later, the feature film Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was released. From 1986 to 1990, Reubens hosted the children's show Pee-Wee's Playhouse. He returned to performing on stage as Pee-Wee Herman in 2010. Reubens' non Pee-wee-related work includes a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997, the 2001 film Blow and guest appearances on 30 Rock, The Blacklist and Gotham. He once again reprises the role of Pee-wee for Pee-wee's Big Holiday.
