Everything You Need To Know About 'Chucky' Star Alyvia Alyn Lind
Alyvia Alyn Lind already had an impressive resume before she joined "Chucky" as Lexy Cross.
Fans of USA Network and SYFY’s “Chucky” will best know actress Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, bully-turned-best-friend of hero Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur). Season 2 of the series will see Lexy, Jake, and Devon Evans (Björgvin Arnarson) doing battle with Chucky once again, this time at their new Catholic school for troubled youth.
However, despite only being 15 years old, Lind had already racked up an impressive resume before going head-to-head with Charles Lee Ray.
As the daughter of actress Barbara Alyn Woods (who actually plays Lexy’s mother, Mayor Michelle Cross, in “Chucky”) and producer John Lind, Alyvia started her onscreen career early in life, following in her older sisters Natalie and Emily’s footsteps.
Viewers coming to “Chucky” for the horror-genre aspect of the series might recognize Alyvia from Netflix’s short-lived apocalyptic dark comedy “Daybreak,” in which she played young genius and pyromaniac Angelica Green. On the more dramatic side of the spectrum, she portrayed Faith Newman on the long-running CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless” from 2011-2021, starting at age 3, right before she first started ruling as queen bee of Hackensack High when “Chucky” first premiered in 2021.
Or perhaps you're a big music fan? In that case, Alyvia will look familiar for her role as a young Dolly Parton in the made-for-TV movies "Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors" and "Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love." Just like Lexy, Alyvia is a multi-faceted talent.
"It's always so much more fun to play a flawed character. Perfect can get kind of boring, and I think the viewers like to see characters that they can either relate to or root for," she told Soap Central in 2021.
