Deac Conti And Samantha Hoffman Tease Their Return To 'Temptation Island': 'I Shake Things Up'
Deac Conti and Samantha Hoffman, who were last seen on Season 2 of "Temptation Island," reveal why they decided to come back and try to make a love connection.
On Season 4 of "Temptation Island," we've already seen a shocking declaration of love, some thrilling dates, and a very emotional bonfire clip. But there is still so much drama to come — especially with the arrival of two very familiar visitors to each villa in Episode 6.
Yep, Deac Conti and Samantha Hoffman from Season 2 are back on the island and ready to bring some heat!
For those who need a refresher, Samantha Hoffman was the single who got tangled up in a very dramatic moment with David Benavidez and Payton Burgess that included steamy shower time with the trio. Deac, meanwhile, had a love triangle of his own with Ashley Howland and Ben Knobloch. But ultimately, neither of them ended up making a love connection with one of the couples.
So, why did they make the decision to come back to the island?
"I thought it would be a fun experience. I really made it a thing to soak in the experience [rather] than be consumed by all the drama [this time]," Deac told USA Insider.
Samantha agreed, saying, "I wanted to come back just because I always try to take every opportunity that's given to me, and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I always tell myself, even if I'm questioning it, that I should just go for it, and that way I won't regret not going later."
For both of them, the Season 4 experience was much different than their time on the island in Season 2. Part of that, they said, was because they knew what to expect — "[We] definitely had an advantage over everyone else and knew not to stress too much," Samantha said.
"It was an absolute blast, just a cool time. I really soaked it in this time. Caught me by the pool every single day!" Deac laughed.
But even with all the fun parties and the abundance of pool time, this is "Temptation Island." That means there is plenty of drama that happens, too.
"[The singles] thought they had it under wraps. And then there's me. I shake things up," Deac said of what's to come in Season 4.
"What I noticed [after I arrived] is there's some jealousy. I would say once I come, there is a little bit of claws coming out, a little bit of possessiveness. Possessiveness and clarity are maybe the two words to describe what happens in [the men's villa] after I arrive this season," Samantha concluded.
Despite the claws that come out, when asked if she would ever return to the island (if she's actually still single at the end of this season, that is ... ), Samantha had a firm but enthusiastic answer: "Yes. I would definitely do it again!"
