Jake Paul On Why His Brother Logan Paul Will Become WWE's Mr. Money in the Bank
Logan's younger brother explains his reasoning for believing The Maverick will walk away with the WWE contract briefcase.
The WWE Universe can start counting down the time until Money in the Bank 2023 in hours, not days or weeks – meaning July 1 is just around the corner!
As we get closer to the historic event, we don't blame you for being overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the matches scheduled for Money in the Bank. From a World Heavyweight Title defense to a Bloodline Civil War, there's going to be plenty of bell-to-bell action that will keep you on your toes. Of course, let's not downplay the obvious: Money in the Bank is all about its namesake ladder matches. From its WWE inception at WrestleMania X, the ladder match has become a fan-favorite match type thanks to the inherent risks provided by introducing a ladder to the action. But ladder matches are taken to another level with the added drama of involving the Money in the Bank briefcase hanging high above the ring!
At Money in the Bank, Ladder Matches Take Center Stage
In the eyes of many in the WWE Universe, WWE action doesn't get any more thrilling than Money in the Bank ladder matches.
This year, the wrestling world was stunned when Logan Paul somehow weaseled his way into the men's Money in the Bank ladder match despite the match being full. In the blink of an eye, the WWE Universe saw the number of participants go from six to seven as Logan was added to the mix during the June 19 episode of Monday Night RAW. Logan is joining an already-stacked lineup of Superstars slated to compete in the match like Ricochet (who Logan has a brief in-ring history with), LA Knight, Damian Priest, Santos Escobar, Butch, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

With Money in the Bank officially only hours away, fans and family members are already making predictions for the men's contest. Logan Paul's brother, Jake, recently went on the record to support his brother in the big match. During a conversation with Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso, Jake Paul didn't mince words as he revealed Logan is the heir apparent to the Money in the Bank throne.
Logan Paul Receives Support From His Younger Brother
"Logan is the best choice to win," Jake stated. "He's larger than life. He has the bravado. He's the heel. He's perfect for this. There's no doubt in my mind he will win. At the end of the day, he's an entertainer and a super athlete. He can do backflips, the splits, kip-ups, and he's been creating his own moves out here training in Puerto Rico. He's creative. That's what the sport is built around: creativity."
The WWE Universe has marveled at Logan Paul's upward trajectory for the better part of a year. His brother isn't wrong – he's simply a once-in-a-generation athlete capable of performing never-before-seen moves in wrestling. If Logan is truly inventing new maneuvers on his own in Puerto Rico, the rest of the participants in the Money in the Bank ladder match should be worried.
Jake confessed that WWE is a perfect fit for people like himself and his brother, as it allows them to fully embrace their inner villain.
"We're hated in these worlds, and we fit perfectly into those characters," he explained.
Logan may be hated by the WWE Universe, but does all the hate come with a healthy portion of begrudging respect? After all, it's hard not to respect a rookie who stood toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2022 and nearly won the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Even if Logan Paul is regarded by many as the odds-on favorite to take home the briefcase (and the lucrative contract contained within), the match is as wide-open as its ever been. In fact, you can make a case that every Superstar competing has the momentum and talent needed to become Mr. Money in the Bank. Superstars like Ricochet and Santos Escobar have mind-blowing athleticism tailor-made for ladder matches. LA Knight has the full backing of the WWE Universe as he continues his trajectory toward being one of WWE's most popular stars. Shinsuke Nakamura has the pedigree, Butch has the desire, and Damian Priest's star has never shone brighter.
But as his younger brother said, Logan Paul has the bravado.
Will larger-than-life bravado be enough to take ownership of the Money in the Bank briefcase?
The WWE Universe will find out in mere hours.
