Katelyn Larson Shares Adorable Video of Her Daughter Skating Like a Future Hockey All-Star
Speed obviously runs in Kyle Larson's family.
While the 2023 NHL Stanley Cup final is set to commence Saturday in Las Vegas, pitting the Golden Knights against the Florida Panthers, there’s been some equally impressive on-ice action that’s just too cute not to highlight.
It turns out NASCAR star Kyle Larson's daughter Audrey Layne Larson, who's just 5 years old, has a hankering for speed just like her daddy, but instead of burning up the asphalt with four rubber tires, she’s carving up the ice on two skates.
Kyle's wife, Katelyn Sweet Larson, captured her daughter's precious skating clinic in a video originally posted to TikTok, but also uploaded to her Instagram page, where she never misses a good opportunity to gift the internet with an adorable photo or video of her children.
“Audrey had a great Hockey filled weekend!” Katelyn wrote. “She even got me on skates! 🥶

Though sweet enough to melt your heart, the video showcases Audrey’s undeniable talent on skates. Not only does she appear absolutely confident and at ease as she blitzes across the rink, clad in her custom Golden Knights jersey, her hockey skates and a hockey helmet, she also clearly knows how to handle a hockey stick on roller blades. Not bad for someone who was still crawling four years ago.
Who commented on Katelyn’s post?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s wife Amy Earnhardt – another NASCAR social media force to reckoned with – gave her stamp of approval and commented on the cute post of Audrey skating.
“She’s SO good!” wrote Junior’s wife. “Isla got skates for her bday and fell out like Bambi on the pond. Had to her a granny walker to use with em. 😂”
Katelyn responded with, “@mrsamyearnhardt she started like that! And has been on her skates everyday. Keep her going 😀.”
What other types of posts does Katelyn make on Instagram?
Sure, of course there are the equally cute photos of her and Kyle's other children Owen Miyata and Cooper Donald with whom she also shares with her man behind the wheel of the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports, but apart from being a proud mommy and supportive wife, her tradition of shotgunning a beer every time Kyle wins has made her a social media sensation all to her own. She clearly has a good time with the tradition and considering the 30-year-old native of Elk Grove, California is currently ranked 11th with five top-five finishes to go with his two wins, there’s probably more beers in Katelyn’s future (and hopefully more adorable family photos as well).
