By Tyler McCarthy

It’s been a wild summer but, at long last, the finale of Love Island USA Season 6 came and went. Now, the islanders are leaving the villa and their relationships will be put to the biggest test since Casa Amor: real life.

USA Insider caught up with the final four island couples shortly after their stay at the villa ended to ask the question on all of our minds: Now that the cameras have stopped rolling and they’re out and about in the real world with access to their phones and, yes, clips from Season 6 of Love Island USA, how have their relationships (which got the stamp of approval from the American voting public) been doing?

Where Is The Cast From 'Love Island' Season 1 Today?

Fear not Love Island USA fans. As we await the upcoming reunion where they’ll tell all about their time on the island and what’s been happening since, we’re here to keep you updated on which islanders are still together and going strong.

Are Kendall and Nicole still together?

Nicole and Kendall appear in the Season 6 finale of Love Island USA.

Kendall Washington and Nicole Jacky were the of the final four couples from Love Island USA Season 6 to call it quits.

The honeymoon phase ended quickly for the duo who revealed on the reunion they were having difficulties with communication. One day after the contentious Reunion special aired, they both took to Instagram to reveal that they ended their relationship.

“I have decided to end things with Nicole. It reached a point where it was not healthy for us to continue the relationship," Kendall wrote in his Instagram Story. "I still love and care for Nicole. I’ve never developed such strong feelings for a woman in my life. I have no regrets for the connection I made with her in the villa and it was real. She does not deserve any hate. Please stop with the negative comments/DM’s. We’re taking this time to focus on our mental health. Thank you guy.”

Nicole later posted: “On August 18th, Kendall and I agreed our relationship was worth working on, and we were making plans for me to visit him in Dallas soon. However, today, on August 20th, he called and ended things. While I understand and respect his decision, It’s hard to process this one. I opened up to him in the villa, and still love and care for him now. I’m struggling mentally and all I ask for is privacy during this time.”

The fourth-place couple for Season 6 got together shortly after Nicole entered the villa as a new bombshell. While there was a brief love triangle that nearly kept them apart, once Kendall and Nicole got together, they stayed together. Kendall even survived the perils of Casa Amor in a season when it seemed like none of the other couples came out unscathed.

Are Kenny and JaNa still together?

Kenny and JaNa appear in the Season 6 finale of Love Island USA.

Although they got a late start compared to some of the other islanders, JaNa and Kenny found a connection that they’re still holding onto today.

“We had the option to be in separate rooms [after the finale] and I was like, ‘I can’t do that.' We’re in the same room and we’re comfy. We’re in tight quarters here,” Kenny said days after the finale.

JaNa plans to give him just a few days to rest and relax back home before he gets on a flight to visit her in Las Vegas. After that, she wants to see his hometown in Dallas.

“I’ll give you a week and a half to get back into your routine and get your sleep schedule back on track and then bam,” she said in the interview to Kenny. “He plans on visiting me because he’s never been to Vegas and then I’ll be out in Dallas, I want to go to the Texas State Fair, the rodeo, and the gun range. Like, ‘OK I guess we’re really doing Texas.’”

Are Leah and Miguel still together?

Miguel and Leah appear in the Season 6 finale of Love Island USA.

Yes, Leah and Miguel are still coupled up. However, travel arrangements prevented them from spending as much time together post-villa as the rest of the islanders. Leah had already taken a flight home while Miguel spoke to USA Insider by himself days after the finale.

Despite that, he noted that he and Leah plan to continue their relationship and visit each other very soon, well before the Aug. 19 reunion. In fact, there's talk of him spending some extended time in Los Angeles with her to see where their relationship will take them.

“I think they could see what we was feeling. I think even though not everything was verbal, everything that we did was intentional and we definitely had a unique connection in there,” he explained. “We bounced off each other so quick. Even with the cast, I think she understood everything before anybody else. She genuinely brought me calm when I came in that night. Looking at her and seeing how relaxed she was, she was like, 'Mind the words, don't worry. I know, I understand, so cool.'"

He concluded: “She's... Just a unique person, a very unique person.”

Are Serena and Kordell still together?

Kordell and Serena appear in the Season 6 finale of Love Island USA.

The winners of Love Island USA Season 6? You bet they’re still together!

Although they had a slow start as a couple, not to mention a huge rough patch following Casa Amor, Kordell and Serena are not only still together but planning some big things for their relationship on the outside.

“I have decided that I will move out there in the same state that she is in, the same city as well, so we can get closer and really build this connection and bond that we have so we can grow for real, so I'll be moving to L.A. soon,” Kordell told USA Insider

She added: “I feel like our experience... It was the journey. It may not have hit it off immediately like the other islanders, but it showed a real representation of how it goes on the outside world. It doesn't always start as Peaches and Cream. It doesn't click instantly always. It always starts slow and especially always starts as friends. And then, it goes into that real love story type thing. So I feel like that's what sets us apart, and more of the fact that America is like ‘this is common in the real world.’”
