Randy Orton Celebrates WWE Milestone In Style, Beating The Usos, Seth Rollins And Kevin Owens In Epic Tag Match
There was no better way for Randy Orton to mark 20 years in WWE than by partnering with Riddle, Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel to take down The Usos, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.
The WWE commemorated Randy Orton 20 years' of superstardom on Raw Monday and what better way for him to mark the occasion than by taking part in an epic four-person tag team match.
Orton’s consistency and tenacity in the ring was celebrated as the evening was seemingly winding down following some major clashes, including Bianca Belair successfully defending her Raw Women's Championship against rival Sonya Deville (winning by count-out).
Orton was all smiles as proud fellow Superstars lined the ring celebrated his two-decade WWE career: since his arrival in 2002, he’s made his mark. Once dubbed "The Legend Killer," he made his name going toe to toe with some of the biggest names in WWE history and became its youngest world champion at 24. And Orton made it more than clear on Monday that he has no plans on stopping any time soon.
During the festivities, Orton’s current RK-Bro tag team partner Riddle announced that he had a “surprise” for Orton – a “fan” who “looks up” to him. He then brought out Cody Rhodes and it was all hugs.
But naturally, that heartwarming moment didn’t last long. Soon, the antagonistic Seth Rollins creeped on out, warning Orton not to trust “The American Nightmare,” whom Rollins has a bit of a grudge against. And then, Ezekiel crashed the party which quickly prompted Kevin Owens emerge. (Owens is generally irked by Ezekiel’s existence as he's convinced Ezekiel is really Elias and not Elias' younger brother as claimed.)
When SmackDown Tag Team Champs The Usos (who recently challenged RK-Bro) also made their way to the ring, it became clear what was about to happen – a brawl was about to get underway. WWE Official Adam Pearce then announced on the spot that all eight had to fight to commemorate Orton’s anniversary: RK-Bro, Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel versus The Usos, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.
The match was out of control and chaotic, having had started before the bell even rang.
In true Orton fashion, and in the best way to celebrate his power, he was virtually unstoppable, at one point slamming Jimmy Uso, Rollins and Owens into the announcer's table in quick succession. He soon unleashed a series of his signature RKOs on his opponents and successfully pinned Jimmy Uso to end the match.
RK-Bro, Cody Rhodes, and Ezekiel then stood proudly together after the triumph that truly marked yet another great milestone for Orton.
