Who is Katie Goodland, Wife of Premier League Star Harry Kane?

Harry Kane began dating Katie Goodland when they were just 16 years old in high school in Waltham Forest, East London, but they’ve known one another even longer. The couple first developed a friendship at Larkswood Primary when Kane was 12 and Goodland was 11. As they matured, they became close at the Chingford Foundation School, which counts David Beckham among its alums. Their relationship continued to grow, and in 2012, Kane and Goodland officially began dating after attending their high school prom together, according to the Daily Mail.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, Kane spoke candidly about the dating pressure fame brings, and why he appreciates his relationship with Goodland so much.

“If I was single now and meeting people, you'd never know if they were with you for the right reasons," Kane revealed. “Is it the money? You'd never really know. So, I'm lucky that I've got a childhood sweetheart.”

Born Jan. 21, 1993, Goodland grew up alongside her younger brother Tom. After attending the Chingford Foundation School with Kane, Goodland pursued higher education at Middlesex University in London.

Upon graduating in 2014 with a concentration in sports science, Goodland went on to work as a professional fitness coach and trainer, a career she highlights on her social media platforms. Additionally, Goodland uses her celebrity status to elevate brands such as Daisy First Aid and Placenta Plus.

Following their engagement in 2017, which happened when they were on vacation in the Bahamas, the pair married two years later in the summer of 2019. Kane announced the nuptials alongside a photo of him kissing Goodland, writing that he had married his “best friend.” Goodland celebrated their one-month anniversary with photos of their wedding.

“A month ago today, I married my soulmate, one of the best days of my life!” wrote Goodland. “Thank you for making my dreams come true; you are perfect @harrykane.”

Goodland and Kane are the happy parents of three children, Louis, Ivy and Vivienne Jane, but the legendary Tottenham Hotspur striker announced on Instagram in March after he broke Wayne Rooney’s goalscoring record for England that he and Goodland are expecting their fourth child together.

While Goodland regularly posts to show her support of Kane on both England and Tottenham, watching Kane evolve over the last decade to be one of the world’s most elite footballers has been challenging at times because of the celebrity status that has accompanied it. Kane opened up to Esquire in 2015 about that element of their relationship.

“We went to school together, so she's seen my whole career,” Kane noted, according to the Daily Mail. “Of course, she's finding it [fame] a little crazy. I think she's even been in the papers a couple of times taking the dogs out.”

Though Goodland and Kane tend to naturally shy away from the spotlight, they do occasionally enjoy the perks of his premier status. In 2021, the longtime couple was dressed to impress as they celebrated the latest installment of England’s most prized fictitious icon, James Bond, attending the No Time to Die premiere with Daniel Craig and other A-listers at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
