WWE Money in the Bank 2024: How to Watch and What to Expect

Witness the wildest matches the WWE has to offer on July 6.

By Chris Phelan

The 2024 Summer Olympics are quickly approaching, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until NBC’s coverage begins on July 26 to see the top athletes in the world compete at the highest level! WWE’s Money in the Bank 2024 is right around the corner, promising an unbelievable evening of action, drama, and ridiculous athleticism.

How to Watch

Watch Monday Night RAW every Monday evening at 8/7c on USA Network. Stream more exciting WWE series on Peacock.

Here’s everything you need to know about WWE’s premiere July live event.

What is Money in the Bank 2024?

Money in the Bank is an annual Premium Live Event that traditionally revolves around two multi-Superstar ladder clashes: the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches. The rules of these matches are simple: the first person to climb a ladder and retrieve the briefcase hanging high above the ring receives the contract inside it — a guaranteed championship match against any Superstar of their choosing.

The contract states the Money in the Bank briefcase winner can cash it in at any time — and that usually means utilizing it when the champion doesn’t see it coming! (Drew McIntyre is still reeling over what Damian Priest did to him at WrestleMania, for example.)

In addition to the two ladder matches, the WWE Universe will be treated to a handful of top-tier matches featuring the top champions. In other words, the WWE Universe should expect the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn to be in action at Money in the Bank 2024!

The event has an illustrious history — and if you’re unfamiliar with Money in the Bank’s backstory (did you know WrestleMania was the original home of the match?), we’ve got the WWE Universe covered.

Where and When is Money in the Bank 2024?

WWE returns to North America for Money in the Bank 2024 — and fans in Canada are suitably fired up. The event will take place in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, marking the first PLE in the venue since SummerSlam 2019.

The action kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 6. In other words, mark your calendars as soon as possible! As usual, a free-to-watch Kickoff Show will begin an hour before the first bell rings.

Catching Money in the Bank live as the action folds is frighteningly simple — members of the WWE Universe only need to head to the nearest television or smart device and load up Peacock. Every major professional wrestling event happens on Peacock — from the Royal Rumble to Survivor Series and every PLE in between (yes, even WrestleMania).

Of course, even if you’re unable to watch the event live on Saturday, July 6, you can catch an immediate replay of the event as soon as it ends — or even save it for another day. It’s that easy.

What to Expect at Money in the Bank 2024?

In a word? Mayhem.

The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches are traditionally the most exciting and exhilarating matches the WWE offers. Although bouts like the Royal Rumble match and Elimination Chamber are dramatic in their own right, these ladder matches are often far too hectic and chaotic to keep up with!

When faced with climbing a ladder to retrieve a briefcase while keeping other WWE Superstars from attempting the same, the stakes get high quickly — and we mean that in a literal and metaphorical sense. If you’ve never witnessed a Money in the Bank match before, you’re in luck — WWE recently posted a four-hour-plus marathon video highlighting every time someone pulled down the briefcase:

WWE captioned this video using the phrase “out of control” to describe these ladder matches, but we couldn’t agree more. They’re wild.

The men and women who have won a Money in the Bank ladder match make up a prestigious list — current WWE Superstars like CM Punk, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Bayley, and IYO SKY have all pulled down the briefcase and stood victorious after the grueling match.

While these ladder matches will (rightfully) get all the attention at Money in the Bank 2024 on July 6, don’t worry. Some of the most prestigious championships in professional wrestling will be up for grabs in more straightforward matchups — no ladder climbing necessary!
