This is the Official Match Card for WWE's Bash in Berlin
WWE's Premium Live Event debut in Germany, Bash in Berlin, is just around the corner!
The WWE Universe will only have a few weeks to catch their breath after the events of SummerSlam — Bash in Berlin is quickly approaching! The top Superstars of Raw and SmackDown will compete once again on a world stage with many of WWE's top championships on the line.
Here are the officially announced matches for WWE's Premium Live Event debut in Berlin, Germany, on August 31!
This list will be updated as more and more matches are added to the card, so keep checking back.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther vs. Randy Orton
Announced on August 5, 2024
"If you think what I've done with the Intercontinental Championship is historic, just watch and see what I'm going to do as World Heavyweight Champion."
With those words spoken on the August 5 episode of Monday Night Raw, Gunther revealed his intention to hold on to his newly-won title for longer than when he held the illustrious Intercontinental Championship, which was 666 days.
But that proclamation didn't sit right with Randy Orton.
Sometimes, when you're one of the most legendary and decorated WWE Superstars of all time, you get to jump the line of title contention — and that's exactly what Randy Orton, the 14-time world champion, did. He jumped the line, got in Gunther's face, and laid down the straightforward challenge: The Viper versus The Ring General at Bash in Berlin with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line!
Orton's logic is pretty on-point: Gunther earned the title shot against Damian Priest at SummerSlam after defeating Orton in the King of the Ring tournament, but Orton's shoulders weren't exactly flat on the mat during the decisive pinfall.
So at Bash in Berlin, Orton gets an opportunity to even the series against Gunther — but honestly, the Austrian-born Gunther will ostensibly have a hometown advantage that he'll use to his advantage in Germany. No matter what, with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, the WWE Universe is in for another hard-hitting classic with enormous implications for the Raw locker room.
Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens
Announced on August 9, 2024
For the moment, thanks to the return of Roman Reigns, The Bloodline is the least of Cody Rhodes’ worries.
With the faction’s attention drawn elsewhere (albeit temporarily), an unlikely challenger has emerged for The American Nightmare’s Undisputed WWE Championship: Kevin Owens. Ever since dethroning Reigns at WrestleMania XL, Rhodes’ title reign has been marked by successful defenses against some of WWE’s best — and at Bash in Berlin, the champion can add another impressive win to his trophy case.
Of course, whenever you compete against someone on the level of KO, securing a victory is easier said than done. As one of the most decorated WWE Superstars ever, Owens would like nothing more to cut Rhodes’ reign short. And while mutual respect exists between the two competitors, the WWE Universe should expect all pretenses of friendship to be entirely thrown out the window. The Undisputed WWE Championship is the top prize in professional wrestling, and Owens is known to put his body on the line whenever the stakes are at its highest.
Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan
Announced on August 13, 2024
At SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio finally turned his back on Rhea Ripley and aligned himself with WWE’s newest bad girl, Liv Morgan. In an instant, the fabled Dominik-Mami relationship was destroyed. So at Bash in Berlin, Dominik must pay for his sins in a mixed tag team match featuring some of the most explosive action the WWE Universe has ever seen. Tensions will be high in this matchup, to say the least!
Although Morgan’s Women’s World Championship will not be on the line, that doesn’t mean that Ripley and Damian Priest don’t have any skin in the game. Both are driven by revenge, and we expect a lot of frustration to be worked out in the ring against Mysterio and Morgan.
Given that Ripley promises to unleash “brutality” (her words, not ours), we’re pretty sure WWE’s newest couple are in for a rough night in Berlin!
