Love Island USA's Serena On What's Next with Kordell: "My Finger's Still Empty"

Serena Page of Love Island USA Season 6 revealed what she expects will be the next step in her relationship.

By Tyler McCarthy

Love Island USA Season 6 winners Serena Page and Kordell Beckham are taking their relationship slow after leaving the villa. However, in a recent interview, Serena told fans what’s next for them as their romance progresses in the real world and left little room for interpretation.

The Houston, Texas, native, 25, sat down for an interview where, of course, she was asked about her newfound romance with Beckham, 22, and how things have been going since they left the villa.

For those who don’t know, the duo connected early on in Love Island USA Season 6 but faced difficulty because of a brief but explosive falling out after he dabbled in a new romance during Casa Amor. Following an appropriate time of mea culpa from him, the two got together and ended up winning the whole thing. They made things Instagram official just days after the show ended.

Now, speaking to People, Serena explained that the next step is, you guessed it, an engagement.

"My finger's still empty," she said.

Kordell and Serena appear in the Season 6 finale of Love Island USA.

While some couples prefer to live together before getting engaged, that won’t be Serena’s way.

“No apartment. There's none of that. The next step would be engagement," she explained. "And we need some time for that."

"This is naked. It is nothing," she added, referring to her ring finger. "This is my apartment. My finger's empty and so is my apartment. I can live with you when we're engaged."

Although Serena considers it to be the next step on their journey, Love Island USA fans shouldn’t expect an engagement announcement any time soon. The duo is hoping that, after a whirlwind romance that played out with cameras rolling over the summer, they can take things slow and move at a pace a “normal relationship would and not as fast as it does in the villa.”

Today, Serena is both trying to capitalize on her fame and stepping back from the hustling, working-seven-days-per-week lifestyle she was living before Love Island USA Season 6. She’s also been enjoying the other huge change in her life since leaving the show.

"I mean, also having a boyfriend. Haven't had one in a minute,” she concluded.
