And the Winner of The Anonymous Is...: The Anonymous S1 E12 Highlight

In the finale of USA Network's The Anonymous, it all came down to a final four of competitors who survived from the very beginning of the game: Nina Twine, Christopher Shulstad, Andy King, and Marcel Cunningham.

How to Watch

Watch The Anonymous on USA Network and Peacock.

Nina walked away from the Domain as the ultimate winner, but the three gents left in her wake still have plenty of stories to share with USA Insider about their overall game strategies, what went down in that final Face Off game, and for Christopher, what happened with his showmance with Victoria Vesce

Andy King decided "I need to take a Donald Trump pill" for The Anonymous finale

As they say, hindsight is 20/20, so did any of the three regret how they played the game?

For Andy, being a contestant fulfilled his previously stated goal of reframing his public persona away from his infamous Fyre Festival involvement to be more in alignment with who he truly is. And in the final episodes, that even meant veering away from just being the nice guy of the Domain and trying to make a run at the ultimate winner's spot.

"At the start, I was a little like Joe Biden, kind of teetering around and trying to figure things out," he said of his gameplay. "And then I'm like, 'I need to take a Donald Trump pill. I need to just be about myself. I need to get smarter.' And I felt like I kind of clicked into gear. I think it happened for Marcel and for Christopher too.

"We talked about it as it was happening," Andy continued. "And obviously, it's a tribute to all of us that we made it to the finale. So, I clicked into gear, but I still feel like my gift was that I didn't win the challenges. I didn't become the Anonymous, but I was still the real Andy King. I was the ultimate team player. I was the Whisperer. I built people up."

Marcel Cunningham, Nina Twine, and Christopher Shulstad appear in Season 1 Episode 12 of The Anonymous.

Marcel on the other hand said he should have taken out Nina in one of his two Anonymous ouster votes because he would have had a stronger shot at winning.

"I sent home Lilly first because she didn't really give much in the Face Offs," he explained. "In the previous Face Offs — because I think she was in two or three of them with me — she asked very emotionally manipulative questions to me, specifically. And it was like, 'You're throwing me off my game!' I wanted to go into it with a clear, competitive head, and not be asked questions, like, 'If I took your box, Marcel, would you be upset with me?' And I was just like, 'I just want to go in and compete.' And I love Lilly to death. But I can't have that energy standing up there playing for $80,000, so I don't regret [voting her out].

"And I didn't want to go into a finale with a couple," Marcel added of the infamous "Vistopher" alliance. "If Victoria was safe and Christopher wasn't, I would have sent his ass home."

As for the men's finale alliance, Christopher confirmed that after the last handle switch, he, Andy, and Marcel talked about going all in together.

"We said, 'It's go-time, boys. Let's go. Let's throw everybody off. Let's play each other's games. Nobody's gonna know who we are.'"

And then right before the final, Christopher consulted with Marcel about ousting Vesce.

"Marcel looked at me and he goes, 'What do you want me to do?'" Christopher said. "And I said, 'There's been four that have been here since the beginning.' And he went, 'So, you're OK with it?' And I said, 'Absolutely.' And he did what he had to do."

The drama behind the final Face Off

Andy King and Nina Twine appear in Season 1 Episode 12 of The Anonymous.

The ultimate Face Off for the final Win box pitted the final four against one another after a season of prior Face Off challenges. It put all four contestants and their body language under a microscope, and amped up their competitive zeal.

Andy said that his worst-case scenario of picking the winning box came true.

"It became a moral, total dilemma for me," he said of holding that Win box. "I'm standing there with my favorite peeps, going, 'I never became the Anonymous. I barely helped at any challenges. I f---ing sucked at most of this game. And here I am, and I'm about to win it. Oh, how good is that gonna look? Good old Billy McFarland with Fyre Festival all over again!'"

He decided to let the chips fall as they may and ended up getting made by Nina's keen eyes.

And it was in this Face Off that Marcel's incredible streak of "box-fu" selections failed him. Which hurt even more because he desperately wanted to best Nina.

"She had beat me in previous challenges for safety, and I was like, 'This is my moment!'" he said of their final Face Off. "She tried to eliminate me so I wanted to beat Nina. And it didn't change."

"The worst part is I had to sit in a car with her to the airport for four hours the next day," Marcel said of the day after the finale. "We talked for like four hours the entire next day. She was like, 'Why'd you take my box?' I was just like, 'I didn't know! You beat me.' She's like, 'Did I actually?' 'Yes, you beat me!'"

He added, "Nothing but love for her. But I wish I would have sent her home."

Was "Vistopher" real for Christopher, and did they give it a real try?

Christopher Shulstad appears in The Anonymous Season 1.

Of course, we would be remiss if we didn't get Christopher's truth about his showmance with Victoria Vesce.

Asked if their alliance was a help or a hindrance to his overall game, he said, "Honestly, she helped my game tremendously. And I've said it time and time again, her voting for me gave her a ton of power in the game."

So, what happened after Vesce was unceremoniously sent home?

"Here's what I think about it," he said. "I think everybody comes into your life for different reasons. For me, it was a pocket of time that we connected. She's great."

To which, Marcel inserted himself with: "Aww, they tried to date. They tried it and it didn't work. She's too fast a speed for him."

"This was true," Christopher said.

"He wants to stay home and chill and fish. And she's traveling and he's like, 'Let's go get some fast food and sit down,'" Marcel teased. "She's a bougie badass versus Mr. Simple."
