'Temptation Island' Host Mark L. Walberg Reveals A Past Couple Has Given Him An Exciting Honor
Mark L. Walberg told USA Insider about which "Temptation Island" contestants he keeps in touch with and how he tries to help them after their time on the island.
Every season of "Temptation Island" is unique, as each couple who visits the island goes on intensely personal journeys. But there is one constant across the series: You can count on host Mark L. Walberg to be there to guide the couples with words of wisdom and a comforting presence.
It's obvious that the contestants don't just form an emotional connection with the singles living alongside them to tempt them — they also build a bond with Mark. So, does he keep in touch with anybody after their journey on the show ends?
"I don't keep in touch with everyone, but I follow mostly everybody on social media, and that's a great way for me to know how they're doing. If I see something that I'm concerned about, I'll reach out and say, 'Hey, if you want to talk?'" Mark recently told USA Insider. "I just had a conversation with Kaci Campbell the other day about some deep stuff ... but I think that all of them know that I'm available to them if they ever want to talk about stuff. Just as a friend, I don't have any letters at the end of my name, and I always make a point to say, if you're going through some really heavy stuff, make sure you get some professional help. But I'm really grateful that I have a relationship with some."
In fact, his relationship is so good with Julian Allen and Kristen Ramos — a couple who became engaged during Season 3 of his show — they asked him not just to come to their wedding this summer but to officiate it!
"I told them if schedules permit, and I can get to Puerto Rico where they're getting married, then sure I'm going to do it! It's that kind of stuff that I really love ... it's me saying yes because I love them and I'm really happy for them. That was a real incredible journey those guys took," he said. "I love a good wedding. Are you kidding? At one point, [my wife and I] thought we should be hired at weddings just to make it more fun."
We'll have to wait a little longer, of course, to see if Season 4 will lead to any weddings for Mark to officiate. Fingers crossed!
