Ashley Rodriguez Finds New Love After ‘Temptation Island’ — But Is She Engaged?

We love learning that “Temptation Island” cast members who left the show single have found new love. Ashley Rodriguez in particular went through some drama when she and Lascelles Lagares, her beau of seven years, found themselves too comfortable and decided to go on the show to shake things up, resulting in a tearful breakup — so we're especially excited to learn she has a new man in her life.
Ashley has indeed confirmed she has completely moved on from Lascelles. She's been posting photos on social media featuring her new romance with celebrity fashion stylist, talent manager, and casting director Roderick Hawthorne. Her latest Instagram post even seemed to hint at an engagement or an elopement as she posed with a ring on her left hand and captioned it, “Ladies, and gents, meet the Hawthornes,” with a laughing emoji.
But when he posted the same photo, he wrote it was date night. Is she just pulling our legs?
Well, Ashley just cleared up their status to USA Insider.
"Me and my new man are currently dating each other for almost a year now, but we have been talking about engagement and having a family in the future. It was so funny that everyone thought I got engaged in that post ... But he gave me that Swarovski ring for us to match in general. So no engagement yet!" she said.
Ashley's other half actually made it Instagram official back in May by posting photos of him looking pretty cozy with Ashley.
Meanwhile, she first posted a photo of them on Instagram in July with the hashtag "Black Love."
If you remember on her season of “Temptation Island,” Ashley developed a strong emotional connection with Blake Blumenshine, which is exactly what she was seeking from her then-boyfriend Lascelles. However, Lascelles bonded with Trace, even professing his love for her. Ultimately, Ashley chose to leave single and he decided to exit the island with Trace, but during the reunion, it was revealed things didn't work out with Lascelles and Trace.
It seems like Ashley has found a good match in Roderick instead as she thanked him on her birthday for showing her what she deserves and for reminding her what pure raw love looks like.
