The Most Gorgeous Reality TV Weddings, From 'Temptation Island' To 'The Voice'
Reality TV series often lead to romance — and sometimes, to incredible weddings that we wish we could have attended!
Many reality TV shows focus on subjects hoping to find love: However, only a handful actually end with people walking down the aisle and committing to each other forever.
Over the years, viewers have watched as well-known personalities and reality TV newcomers alike meet, realize their chemistry together, and navigate the trials and tribulations of their respective games before ultimately walking away together and living their lives (without the prying eye of cameras and the viewing audience).
With the latest season of “Temptation Island” ending in an engagement, we're taking a look back at some of the couples who met on reality TV and whose stories ended in a lavish, star-studded wedding.
Kristen Ramos And Julian Allen From "Temptation Island"
In Season 3 of “Temptation Island” on USA Network, couples were dropping like flies as the men and women succumbed to the allure of new single people in their villas. However, Kristen and Julian remained steadfast in their bond and actually used their time on the island to mature for the sake of each other.
The show ended with Julian popping the question and Kristen saying yes. Years later, in July 2022, the duo finally made good on that moment and got hitched in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by all of their friends and family (as well as a few former co-stars on “Temptation Island”). Host Mark L. Wahlberg even sent them a note of congratulations wishing them well.
Camilla Thurlow And Jamie Jewitt From "Love Island UK"
Camilla joined “Love Island UK” as a day-one entry during its season in 2017. She spent her early days in the villa experiencing heartbreak at the hands of Jonny Mitchell and Craig Lawson, according to Cosmopolitan. But a whopping 32 days into her journey, the former bomb disposal expert’s prince charming, Calvin Klein model Jamie Jewitt, entered the villa and they immediately hit it off.
They left “Love Island” together and eventually got hitched in September 2021 with their friends and family all in attendance. Today they share children together and seem like they’re going strong despite most of their co-stars’ relationships falling away once the cameras stopped rolling.
Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolos From "The Bachelorette"
Lindsay first joined Bachelor Nation on Nick Viall’s season before making history as the first Black Bachelorette in 2017. It turned out to be a huge success story for the franchise.
After giving Abasolos the first-impression rose, he made it all the way to the end alongside Peter Kraus. She accepted his proposal but the moment was overshadowed a bit by her messy split with Kraus.
However, in August 2019, the duo dusted themselves off from the drama of “The Bachelorette” and got married at a ceremony in Mexico attended by fellow Bachelor Nation stars. Today, they’re still together and happy. In fact, they’ve even sent some public signals that they’re hoping to start a family in the near future.
Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani From "The Voice"
In 2014, country crooner and future “Barmageddon” star Blake Shelton was performing his regular duty as a coach on “The Voice,” unaware an epic romance was about to begin for him. That season, the fourth chair was filled by No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani. Although they were going head-to-head (both ultimately losing to Pharrell Williams’ contestant, Sawyer Fredericks), they clearly hit it off and announced they were dating in 2015.
Since then, the duo has become inseparable. Not only do they support each other, collaborate with each other, and intermingle with each other’s families, they got married over the July 4th weekend in 2021.
Fun fact: Shelton’s good friend, “The Voice” host and his “Barmageddon” co-star, Carson Daly, officiated the wedding.
Angelina Pivarnick And Chris Larangeira From "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation"
Not all reality TV weddings are special because the couple worked or the day in question went off without a hitch. In one of the most infamous nuptials of all time, Angelina Pivarnick’s big day with longtime fiancé Chris Larangeira was met with disaster when her co-stars Nicole Polizzi, Jenni Farley, and Deena Nicole Cortese gave a speech that roasted their co-star as well as her Staten Island roots.
The crowd booed but Angelina was livid and spent the better part of the next year blaming the ladies for ruining her big day. Unfortunately, (not because of the toast), Angelina and Chris are in the middle of a contentious divorce that’s playing out on-screen on the latest season of the show. However, their wedding, although disastrous and ill-fated, certainly made for good viewing for those tuning into the show.
