Studio Lambert, the producers behind The Traitors, The Circle, Undercover Boss, and Squid Game: The Challenge, have announced the next hit reality show: The Anonymous. It’s a social strategy game mashing the in-your-face nature of Big Brother with the anonymity of The Circle.

How to Watch

Watch the series premiere of The Anonymous on Monday, August 19 at 11/10c on USA Network

In The Anonymous, there are two types of interaction among players. Part of the time, they’ll be together in the same physical space, interacting face to face. Other times, they’ll be in a virtual world where players are free to speak their minds behind the veil of digital anonymity. If their virtual identities are revealed, however, the real-world group dynamic might heat up — really quickly.

In the ultimate game of covert deception, 12 players will manipulate, mislead, and do whatever it takes to secure up to $100,000

The Anonymous’ inaugural player lineup features reality TV alums including Xavier Prather, a former college basketball player and current lawyer/reality TV personality. To date, Xavier has competed on Season 23 of Big Brother, the holiday-themed Big Brother Reindeer Games, and The Challenge: USA. He also made guest appearances on Big Brother Seasons 24 and 25, and did a two-episode stint on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, he’s adding another reality show to his resume in Season 1 of The Anonymous.

Before Big Brother Season 23 even began, Xavier made the bold prediction that the show would have its first Black winner in a regular season. He turned out to be right, and he also turned out to be that winner.

Xavier used a mixture of charisma and subterfuge to forge several alliances that carried him safely to the finale. He began innocently enough, pretending to be a bartender instead of a lawyer, in the hopes of being more approachable and trustworthy. It worked.

Of the alliances Xavier forged, the most powerful and influential was The Cookout, a collaboration of all Black players committed to the goal of crowning the show’s first regular season Black winner. After 65 days of competition, during the season’s 10th week, the last non-Cookout player was eliminated, ensuring the alliance’s goal.

In the second half of the season, Xavier switched gears, became more calculated, and even turned on former alliances when the situation demanded it. The strategy worked and Xavier survived until the finale where he became only the third player ever to be crowned by unanimous vote. When Xavier returned to compete in Big Brother Reindeer Games, he tied for third place.

Xavier's success at social strategy games has made him a recognizable face in any new reality show, perhaps making it harder for him to sneak into the winner’s circle with half-truths and whole lies. The virtual element of The Anonymous, however, levels the playing field a little bit and unleashes Xavier's unique talents.

The Anonymous kicks off with a three-episode premiere on Monday, August 19 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on USA Network. Episodes will also air simultaneously across Bravo and SYFY on premiere night and repeat in primetime daily on USA throughout the week.
