Cardi B Would Love To Fulfill Her WWE Dream
Bad Bunny has created the blueprint for other hip-hop megastars like Cardi B to appear in the WWE ring.
In a time when the lines between sports entertainment and the music world are constantly blurred, one artist has announced her intention to make her presence known in WWE, Cardi B!
When it comes to dominating the music industry, no female artist comes close to approaching the influence Cardi B has. From her seemingly endless number of chart-topping hits to her countless Grammy Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards, and Billboard Music Awards, Cardi B sits alone at the top of the hip-hop world. Interestingly enough, it sounds like she wants to follow in the footsteps of another hip-hop megastar-turned-WWE-Superstar. Bad Bunny has consistently blown the WWE Universe away with each appearance in the ring, and it looks like she wants to get in on the action!
Cardi B Wants to Follow in Bad Bunny's WWE Footsteps
During a recent interview with media mogul and former WWE 24/7 Champion Peter Rosenberg, Cardi B revealed – among other things – that she has admired Bad Bunny's foray into the world of sports entertainment and has been mulling a potential future in WWE herself. Rosenberg asked if there is any chance she would consider appearing at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. As it turns out, she was just as impressed as the rest of the WWE Universe whenever she saw Bad Bunny compete in the ring!
(Warning: Cardi B-style language incoming!)
"Yeah, that motherf-cker is jumping off the ropes," Cardi B said of Bad Bunny. "Honey, I just told you that my body got f-cked up after the second [baby]. I told you the second one f-cked me up. I would love to attend. I don't know what I'd do. I don't know if I have to perform or slap a bitch, but I want to go. I have to fulfill some type of dream."
It sounds like Cardi B is still recovering physically from the birth of her second child, but nevertheless, she revealed she'd love to fulfill her lifelong dream of appearing in WWE. Whether that entails actually getting in the ring or performing one of her many hits live in Philadelphia remains to be seen. Still, getting the WrestleMania rumor mill working overdrive in September is always welcomed!
It's not surprising that Cardi B wants a piece of the excitement experienced by her colleague. Just a few months ago, the entertainment world nearly imploded when Bad Bunny defeated future Mr. Money in the Bank, Damian Priest, in his hometown of Puerto Rico . We don't blame her for thinking she can do the same. From the Rock' n' Wrestling days of 1980s WWE to today, the music industry's biggest stars have never shied away from performing in the ring – it's a natural match for all parties involved.
Which WWE Superstar Responded to Cardi B on Twitter?
Unfortunately, not every WWE Superstar greets "outsiders" with open arms. However, one Superstar seems to be working hard to get on the good side of the legendary hip-hop artist!
Chelsea Green, one-half of the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, almost immediately took to social media to directly respond to Cardi B's comments. It sounds like Chelsea wants to help Cardi B make good on her offer:
Never one to shy away from controversy, Chelsea Green's Twitter comments certainly read as fully welcoming Cardi B into the women's locker room. Reading between the lines, it seems like Chelsea already has her own list of women she feels deserve a slap to the face or two! Truth be told, Cardi B can do a lot worse than aligning herself with a champion like Chelsea – even though the WWE Universe would assume that Chelsea would be one of the first women on Cardi B's list to slap across the face!
With WrestleMania 40 only six months away, Cardi B has plenty of time to prepare for a potential appearance. Bad Bunny has set the bar high for his colleague, but if anyone can "wow" the WWE Universe on The Grandest Stage of Them All, it's Cardi B.
