WrestleMania 42 is Coming to New Orleans in 2026
It’s time to start planning for WrestleMania 42 in 2026.

Forget about saints — WWE’s WrestleMania will come marching in to New Orleans in 2026!
The Rock announces where WrestleMania 42 will take place
When The Rock announced he’d be making a last-second appearance on the February 21 episode of SmackDown on USA Network, fans expected something big — and the Great One didn’t disappoint!
While WrestleMania 41 is just around the corner, it’s never too late for the WWE Universe to start looking ahead to next year’s mega-event — and The Rock couldn’t hide his own excitement as he dropped the bombshell announcement:
It’s official: WrestleMania 42 is returning to the Big Easy — and the iconic Premium Live Event will be bigger than ever.
When is WrestleMania 42?
The epic two-night extravaganza will take place on April 11 and 12, 2026 — live from the legendary Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana! The stadium just hosted the NFL’s Super Bowl, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles handily defeat the Kansas City Chiefs — and if viewers thought football fans were loud, wait until you witness what happens when tens of thousands of screaming WWE diehards pack the Superdome!
Longtime fans know it won’t be the first time WrestleMania has emanated from such hallowed grounds. In fact, the Superdome has hosted many of the most unforgettable WrestleMania moments ever.
In the official press release, Louisiana’s governor, Jeff Landry, revealed the significance of New Orleans holding its third WrestleMania.
“We are ecstatic to host WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans next year. Hosting this iconic event three times in the last 12 years is an honor we do not take lightly,” said Landry. “I want to congratulate the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation for their successful efforts on this project. We look forward to showing WWE fans from around the world all our great state has to offer!”
Has New Orleans hosted WrestleMania before?
Yes, New Orleans has welcomed WWE and all things WrestleMania into the Superdome on two separate occasions — for WrestleMania 30 and 34. Some of the biggest moments in WWE history took place in the Big Easy, like Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s WrestleMania undefeated streak on April 6, 2014:
While Lesnar ending the streak is arguably the most shocking moment in wrestling history, the surprises in the Superdome didn’t end there.
Just four years later, the WWE Universe witnessed another unthinkable scenario play out when Braun Strowman teamed with a young fan to capture the Raw Tag Team Championships — we still can’t believe it actually happened!
WrestleMania 42 has the potential to be the biggest night in professional wrestling history — but as any fan knows, the entire weekend will be something to experience — in addition to WrestleMania 42, WWE will bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World and the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony to New Orleans, as well as a variety of community outreach events.
Additional ticket details and event information will be announced in the coming months. In the meantime, learn more about registering for pre-sale opportunities here!
