WWE Royal Rumble 2025: How to Watch and What to Expect
Here's everything fans need to know about the first WWE Premium Live Event of 2025, Royal Rumble!
The new year has just begun, which means one thing for WWE fans: it's time to start the countdown to Royal Rumble 2025!
There's a reason why millions of wrestling fans regard the annual Royal Rumble event as their favorite Premium Live Event of the year — it's been home to some of the most unforgettable matches and moments in the company's history. From the 30-Superstar Royal Rumble matches themselves (which serve to set up major WrestleMania main events) to the championship matches that take place throughout the evening, the Royal Rumble guarantees excitement and unpredictability — what more could the WWE Universe want?
Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 edition of WWE Royal Rumble — including when and how to tune in!
Where to stream Royal Rumble 2025?
Royal Rumble 2025 is streaming exclusively on Peacock!
Don't let any unauthorized WWE website or media outlet tell you otherwise — for fans in the United States, Royal Rumble 2025 will be broadcast live on Peacock! While Monday Night Raw may have changed homes in 2025, the only place to watch WWE Premium Live Events in the United States is by logging in to Peacock — and it will stay that way for the foreseeable future.
(Yes, and that means WrestleMania will be airing live on Peacock again this year as well!)
As far as the WWE Universe is concerned, it's business as usual when tuning into the hottest PLEs of 2025 — you can only catch the action on Peacock!
When does Royal Rumble 2025 start?
While traditionally, the Royal Rumble has occurred in January, WWE is bucking the trend this year and presenting this year's PLE on Saturday, February 1 at 6 p.m. ET. It doesn't get any easier than picking out your favorite seat on the couch and tuning into Peacock on the most exciting Saturday you'll have in a long time!
Royal Rumble streams live in the U.S. exclusively on Peacock beginning at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT — don't miss out.
What can WWE fans expect from Royal Rumble 2025?
Of course, no Royal Rumble is complete with the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches themselves — and they're both on tap on February 1! The event will emanate from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, and host a sold-out crowd of diehard fans who will see the table set for WrestleMania 41.
You see, WrestleMania main events just don't appear out of thin air — larger-than-life Royal Rumble matches are needed to establish the number-one male and female contenders for WWE's top championships! And there's one legendary WWE Superstar who, in November 2024, vowed to compete in the men's match this year — anybody remember this guy?
That's right, future WWE Hall of Famer John Cena will take one step closer to retirement by participating in his last-ever Royal Rumble match. The stakes will never be higher — but would there be anything more exciting than Cena winning the men's Royal Rumble match and going against somebody like Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania? If things go Cena's way, the WWE Universe could see that exact scenario played out before their eyes!
Of course, there's more to Royal Rumble 2025 than the Rumble matches themselves. Speaking of Cody Rhodes, there's already one major title bout announced for February 1, and it's shaping up to be one for the ages:
That's right — on February 1, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a ladder match! Two titles will be suspended high above the ring — Rhodes' title and the faux-retro championship Owens has been holding on to since Saturday Night's Main Event. (We're still wincing over that shocking package piledriver!)
The only way a winner will be crowned at Royal Rumble 2025 is by climbing a ladder and retrieving both titles — it's a match that no true fan will want to miss a second of.
You can tune in to Peacock to watch Royal Rumble 2025 on Saturday, February 1. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock.
