Jade Cargill Reflects on Her WWE Royal Rumble Debut
The WWE Universe finally saw what the hype surrounding Jade Cargill was all about when she entered the ring at Royal Rumble 2024!
After months of anticipation, the WWE Universe finally got what they so desperately wanted. The era of Jade Cargill is finally upon us!
In a night full of surprises, the unexpected Royal Rumble debut of Cargill on January 27 was arguably the most fulfilling. After entering the women's Royal Rumble match at the #28 position, Jade ultimately finished third – but not after making an impact on the women's locker room! We're pretty sure Nia Jax is still sore physically and emotionally after she was unceremoniously dumped out of the Rumble by Cargill.
Thankfully, WWE cameras caught some eye-opening behind-the-scenes Royal Rumble moments chronicling Jade's journey toward her debut:
Now that Cargill has officially arrived – finally putting stubborn rumors to rest that she wasn't physically "ready" for WWE action – the entire WWE women's locker room is on notice. And although Jade didn't ultimately win the Royal Rumble, there's reason to believe that her future is the brightest out of any Superstar on the roster. During a post-Royal Rumble interview with Denise Salcedo, Jade reflected on her impressive debut – and outlined where she sees her career going next.
Jade Cargill's Royal Rumble 2024 Debut
Unsurprisingly, Cargill's confidence shone as she described being more than satisfied with her Royal Rumble debut.
"I'm nothing less than a Superstar," she said. "What did you think was gonna happen? Did you hear the crowd for the other women like they raved for me? I don't think so. But I do wanna thank the WWE fan base because you guys showed up and showed out tonight. I am nothing short of a Superstar, I'm Jade Cargill – that was my first introduction. Get ready for everything that comes with me."

Jade certainly views herself as already part of the upper echelon in the locker room, and for good reason – it's borderline impossible to reach the final three of a Royal Rumble match with zero previous WWE matches under your belt! We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but the WWE Universe might as well pencil in Cargill as one of the prohibitive favorites to win the 2025 Royal Rumble!
Jade Cargill's Journey To WWE and Royal Rumble 2024
As every Jade Cargill fan knows, she made a name for herself as a champion in AEW before being signed by WWE as one of the biggest free-agent signings in wrestling history. With her successful debut now behind her, Jade clearly looks forward to alleviating any doubt that her previous experience didn't adequately prepare her for life in WWE.
"I felt like I would have not gotten a better start other than AEW, and that's me being very honest," Jade confessed. "I think the veterans in the locker room prepared me for the grander stage at WWE. I got a great experience there – being thrown into the water and being able to swim and survive – it prepared me for the big stage that WWE has."
Make no mistake about it: Jade Cargill is in the big leagues now, and the WWE Universe is already salivating at the potential Superstars Jade may find herself across the ring from in the future. Matches with the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Asuka, and countless others would tear the house down in any city!
Who Does Jade Cargill Want To Wrestle In WWE?
Nevertheless, Jade has been steadfast in her desire to wrestle one specific former women's champion.
"We're going to see what happens," Jade revealed. "I think I would rather work with the great Bianca Belair. I think she's phenomenal, she's a great representation for the African American community. We're going to make magic – whether we work against or together, we're going to make magic."
It's not the first time the name "Bianca Belair" has left Cargill's mouth, and now that we know Bianca feels the same way about Jade, we have to figure it's only a matter of time before those two larger-than-life Superstars are fighting tooth and nail in the ring against each other.
Let's be honest: Jade Cargill vs. Bianca Belair has WrestleMania written all over it!
Even if a high-profile match against Bianca isn't in the cards, we can't wait to see what Cargill is capable of in a non-Royal Rumble environment – we have a feeling the WWE Universe is about to find their new favorite Superstar!
