The documentary sees Wyatt’s friends, family, and fellow WWE Superstars eulogize the man who brought characters like The Fiend to life while discussing his career and the many creative motivations that made him such a powerhouse and game-changer in the WWE Universe. The premiere on USA Network comes roughly one year after fans and colleagues were shocked to find out Wyatt, whose real name was Windham Rotunda, died unexpectedly at age 36.

When is Becoming Bray Wyatt airing on USA Network?

The documentary makes its TV debut on September 10, 2024, at 10:09 p.m. ET on USA Network.

The documentary promises to showcase Bray Wyatt’s “incredible rise to worldwide fame as a WWE Superstar, his struggles and success.”

“Wrestling is not a love story, it’s much more. It’s hope,” the trailer for the documentary begins, followed by the voice of Wyatt himself explaining that he wanted to be a WWE Superstar to follow in the footsteps of his father, WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda.

Many of the WWE Superstars who crossed paths with Wyatt throughout his career appear in the documentary to shower him with praise and give viewers an idea of who the real man behind all those characters truly was.

Triple H calls him “a whirlwind of ideas” followed by John Cena referring to him as “the ultimate villain.” The documentary includes interviews with other Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Becky Lynch, and Wyatt's brother, Taylor Rotunda. Indeed, throughout his time in WWE, Wyatt created many creative moments that stand the test of time. From stories and characters such as the infamous run as The Fiend to his classic Firefly Funhouse segments, many fans would argue there is no other like Wyatt.

All the while, he captured many coveted titles within WWE such as the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship.

What did Bray Wyatt’s WWE friends say about his death?

It was Triple H who first broke the news to the WWE Universe of Wyatt’s tragic loss in August of 2023, writing in a post on X (formerly Twitter): “Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda - also known as Bray Wyatt - unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal is narrated by William Calaway, better known as The Undertaker, who will be among the many Superstars discussing the impact the Superstar had on the modern storytelling in WWE and just what his loss means to them.

"Bray Wyatt is one of the most revered and mysterious characters in WWE history," a press release for the documentary reads. "The story behind that character and the man himself, Windham Rotunda, has never been documented until now. Using never-before-seen interviews and exclusive backstage footage, Windham Rotunda’s inspiring story unfolds. This documentary chronicles Windham’s incredible rise to worldwide fame as a WWE Superstar, and the struggles and success that came with being a creative visionary."

Watch Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal only on Peacock and on USA Network on September 10.
