While Bron Breakker's out-of-the-blue challenge to Seth Rollins and the World Heavyweight Championship capped another special episode of NXT, many members of the WWE Universe are still reeling from the results of the number one contender battle royal for the NXT Women's title. Thea Hail outlasted all other competitors in the women's division, last eliminating Cora Jade and Dana Brooke to earn a title opportunity in the near future.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder Debut During Thea Hail's Celebration
As the Chase U Student Section stormed the ring to celebrate Thea's iconic victory, Haley and Hanna Cavinder decided it was the perfect time to make their NXT debuts! Joining the mass of Chase U supporters inside the ring, the Cavinder twins hoisted Thea Hail on their shoulders, much to the delight of fans in attendance.
Fans of the Cavinder twins, who became famous for their performance on the hardwood during their time playing college basketball for the University of Miami and later for their extensive social media use, have been wondering when the two women would be making their WWE debuts ever since they announced their shocking early retirement from college basketball. As it turns out, Haley and Hanna really want to get their WWE careers rolling sooner than later.
It's fitting that Haley and Hanna chose to stan Thea Hail and Chase U during their first NXT appearance – talk about an easy transition from college to pro wrestling!
The Cavinder Twins Hinted at Their WWE Debut Through Social Media
Earlier on Tuesday, the Cavinder twins did drop a major hint – some may even call it a spoiler – about their plans for later in the evening.
We have to hand it to the pair, they're already calling themselves "your new favorite tag team," which, in all honesty, would actually work as their team name once they start their in-ring careers.
So with Thea Hail now destined to collide with NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton, the women's title picture continues its ascent to one of the most intriguing championship scenes in all of pro wrestling. However, questions remain regarding the Cavinder twins: Was their appearance on the June 6 episode of NXT a one-off moment? Are they officially aligned with Thea and Chase U? Will they factor into the inevitable championship match between Thea and Tiffany?
Only time will tell, but one thing is sure: The NXT women's division is infinitely more unpredictable now that the Cavinder twins have made their presence known.
